After many years as a JCCSF Summer Camp Counselor and Unit Head, Nehemiah takes the helm of the JCCSF Dance School as Assistant Manager. With training that began at the San Francisco Ballet School at age 10, Nehemiah also participated in dance intensives with The Ailey School (New York), The Place (London), LINES Ballet (SF), Mark Morris (New York), ODC (SF), New Adventures (London), Boston Ballet and Henny Jurriëns Studio (Amsterdam). In addition, Nehemiah is a trained Rhythm & Motion dance instructor. After receiving a BFA in Contemporary Dance Performance Cum Laude from Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Nehemiah was an apprentice dancer with Compañía caraBdanza in Madrid, Spain. Before joining the JCCSF in this dance role, Nehemiah served as Director of Performing Arts programs at the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Francisco’s Don Fisher Clubhouse. A native of the Bay Area, Nehemiah enjoys reading, writing poetry, prose and lyrics and travel.
