Mitch was born and raised in the East Bay. He has made the long journey from camper to teen staff and eventually camp counselor with Camp Mendocino (a sleepaway camp in the redwoods). Now he has realized a personal goal by achieving a director level role here at the JCCSF. He has been working with youth of all ages since he was a young person himself through his work with the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco. Mitch strives to encourage and enable all young people to realize their potential as healthy, productive and respectable individuals through targeted programming. As the Middle School Services Director for the Mission Clubhouse of Boys & Girls Clubs, Mitch developed and implemented programs focused on social/emotional growth as well as healthy forms of competition. In his free time, Mitch enjoys online gaming, creative writing and hanging out with his dog.
