Center Membership includes most fitness classes free of charge. Non-members can participate by purchasing a daily guest pass for $24, $12 when accompanied by a member (ID required).

There is a 20% administrative fee to cancel/refund all workshops; deadline to cancel/refund is 48 hours before start of workshop. Full refunds can only be granted with medical documentation of a condition that precludes the ability to complete a program.


Essential Self-Defense for Women

Presented by Alive and Kicking! Self Defense & Women's Safety Project

This class is designed to give women (ages 18 – 109) a wide range of strategies for dealing with situations that vary from mildly intrusive to life threatening. Each three-hour class will include full-force practice of physical techniques, interactive learning of assertive communication skills, and discussion of mental/emotional defense strategies. Other great things you will get out of class: The ability to get out of a choke or pin situation, the confidence to live your life freely without fearing violence, a wide variety of physical techniques to target an attacker's weaknesses with your strengths (and impress friends!), verbal skills for dealing with street harassment, co-workers, partners, family and friends and emotional strategies for living a safe, whole life.

THAI MASSAGE CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP

Thai Massage has a long history within the traditional healing arts of Thailand. It combines aspects of yoga, deep stretching, reflexology, energy work, and acupressure.

This 40-hour intensive course teaches students how to give a full Thai Massage treatment in traditional style. In addition to the hands-on practice, students participate in daily yoga practice, and Thai healing ceremonies, as well as learn about the cultural and historical background of Thai massage.

Participation is open to everyone, with CEU credits for massage professionals.

NIA® and Transfomational Dance

You know that Nia heals the body, but did you know that Nia can also be used as a foundation to ease the struggles of the spirit? If you are facing a challenge in your work or personal life, this workshop is designed to provide a safe, supportive and intimate context for your healing. Combining NIA®, transformational free dance, and Somatic (through-the-body) personal coaching, LeeAnn supports participants to see themselves more clearly in their challenge and find an opening that can lead to positive change. You will leave this three-hour session with tangible practices to apply in your day-to-day life. No prior NIA® or personal development experience is necessary.
